The dockside restaurant
is called Latitude 31,
known for it's seafood dishes.
There is an outdoor dock bar
where the visitor
can enjoy the ocean breezes
and salty air
and watch the sun setting
over the harbor
looking toward
the Sidney Lanier Bridge
that connects the island
to the mainland
that goes over toward
St. Simon's Island
on the other side.
Jekyll Island is a beautiful
natural island,
pristine beaches of dunes
and old driftwood...

Since I live in Waynesville, NC, I am very interested in participating in your "En Plein Air" day in April of this year in Murphy. I have never participated in any competition of this type before and I am a bit intimidated by it all just a little bit. I would love for you to look at my website here and let me know your thoughts - i.e., do you feel I am ready, or do I need more experience. I am handicapped physically to a certain degree, n that my right hand does not work well, ans I need crutches to walk. Will the location(s) be difficult for me? Although I am 61, I am nevertheless very adventurous and willing to try new things. I have a passion in particular for nature photography.
