How wonderful it is to catch children in a spontaneous and playful fashion! This red haired, young boy is a classic oil portrait, a playful contrast to the sombre classical paintings of old. His hands are raised in delight at being caught by the camera, and his laughter shows this. It is a wonderful, colorful painting filled with aqua, ginger, yellow and red flesh colors. It was a delight to paint this!
