Don’t know about you, but I’ve always found lavender fields fascinating. They look so out of this world and the fragrance is fantastic. And when you visit a lavender field at sunset, you’re in for a real treat because Nature herself shows you the perfect example of complementary colours. Recently, I’ve been in a mood of playing with purple and orange and that’s when I thought of a field of lavender in the rays of the setting sun. I wanted to create an uncontrollable colourful painting and this sunset abstract landscape is the result.

Eliza Donovan is a self-taught artist living in South-Eastern Serbia. Being an impatient person who goes with the flow of the moment, Eliza paints in acrylics - a medium that dries quickly and lasts for ages. Eliza paints in a unique expressionist style that is strongly influenced by the dreamworld, Asian art, and Ray Bradbury's books.
