This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Artist's Description
On a warm, early September 2016 day, a double crested cormorant swims beside the Anna Maria City Pier in Manatee County hoping for a hand out. The double crested cormorant (phalacrocorax auritus) ranges in rivers, lakes and coastlines across the united states from coast to coast, in to northern Mexico, central Canada, along the Pacific coast to Alaska and north along the Canadian Atlantic coast. Because they do not tolerate cold weather well, they migrate with the seasons.
This all black bird measures from 28" to 35" in length with a wingspan between 45" and 48." It has a stocky body, long neck, medium sized tail and webbed feet. There is a bare patch of yellow skin at the base of a medium sized, dark colored, hooked bill. The wings are a darkish gray. They have small heads, long, kinked necks, aquamarine eyes and a mouth that is bright blue on the inside. Juveniles are more dark gray or brownish with lighter underparts and a bill that is mostly orange or yellow.

About Norman Johnson
Like many of the old generation of photographers, I began with a Kodak box brownie when I was a kid. When I saw what resulted, I was hooked. Benjamin Harrison in 1966 where I got more intensive training in photography and photojournalism and practiced that craft in Vietnam and the United States. I studied with the Famous Artist’s and Famous Photographer’s Schools to help hone my skills. I study the composition, use of light, contrasts of intensities of color, etc. of artist’s works that I catch my eyes to help me hone my skills. I...
