The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Every good carousel has a lead horse which is usually the most decorated and often times military in decor. This one was dedicated to the school children of Holyoke, MA when this carousel was first installed in 1993. Some consider the black horse to be a luck omen.

I have had an interest in painting since early childhood; fascinated by watercolors and loving works of oil on canvas, especially seascapes. My beginnings as an artist were first with oils on canvas.
