Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Perfect! I wish that you'd included a translation of the two inscriptions in some ancient language that are above the shoulders of St John Coltrane. It would cost your company virtually nothing to supply this with the picture.
Artist's Description
This is one of a series of limited palette oil paintings based on the the threat of global warming that faces the world and all its denizens, human and not. Each image in this series is based on a real landscape or building structure that has been captured in ice after the flood. Here I imagine the Leaning Tower of Pisa, trapped in water that has frozen over. I try to draw in my viewers with a whimsical image in order to make a sober point: this is our future unless we act now. It is my (paradoxical) attempt to make "the dreadful beautifully inviting." I take inspiration from philosophy and the icebergs of Antarctica. Given the reversals at the heart of this painting, it is only appropriate to reverse Kierkegaard and claim that “one desires what one fears.”
About Katherine Fishburn
I’m just a self-taught artist who likes to break rules. I broke them in the scholarship I did when I was still a college professor—and was called on my transgressions. As a child I (apparently) broke them when my secondary school art teacher told me in no uncertain terms that I simply could not mix the representational and the abstract. (Now who in Europe had been causing a sensation in the art scene for half a generation when she told me this: Picasso and Miró, to name just two.) In any event, her censure didn’t take. I’m still breaking rules. Then there’s the rather snippy young woman (art student, I presume), who awhile back visited my studio and was shocked, shocked by how vivid my paintings are.
