One of the few items of the 1989 UM BBall Championship that I've seen. Very nice

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?
Artist's Description
There is a wonderful law in Sweden which gives everybody the right to go walking wherever they want. That doesn't mean in people's gardens, but refers to countryside and forest land. It is great to be able to just walk anywhere, without ever having to worry that you might be trespassing. However it's easy to grow to love a place and at the same time forget that somebody owns that land, especially the forests. The forest owners do not own them just for fun, but they are looking to make money. When the trees reach a certain size, the land owner will employ somebody to fell the trees for timber or to be made into paper. It hurts to go walking in the forest only to suddenly find huge areas laid waste. Last time I went to the forest, where I used to pick blueberries and mushrooms, I found a scene of devastation. Not all the trees were gone, but so many that I no longer recognised the area. It was very sad. Some trees hadn't even been used, just cut down and left for dead. I still managed fi...
About Martin Howard
I am an English Artist living in Borlange, Sweden since 2005. I have been painting on and off since the early eighties, in oils to begin with before moving on to watercolours. I also have an interest in photography which I have often used as part of my preliminary work for my paintings. In recent months, I have had a little extra time on my hands, which has fuelled my artistic fire. I find that I am experimenting much more with my photography to create more abstract images at the same time as learning new methods of processing photographs. This in turn, is influencing my ideas for paintings. Anybody visiting my website, will find a real mixture of styles and mediums and I believe, something for everybody. The reason that I paint or take...

There's a personal sadness for me when I see the senseless destruction of nature ... whether it be animal or the environment. Nice photo and narrative, Martin.

Beautiful composition of light and shadows.... and such a sad narrative. I think only an artist can see the hidden beauty of devastation and bring light to it, enlightening those who would have walk on by it. Awesome work Martin!!!
