Description
Lenten Rose, or Hellebores, is an early Spring bloomer that thrives in a woodland garden. Even after the flowers are done blooming, the leaves stay everygreen all year long. This particular variety is called "Red Lady". This image was taken in place, with black velvet for the background, and some vignette color added in processing.

WOW, this is so beautiful Carolyn. I've never seen or heard or read about this flower before.. I like the velvet background with the eggplant color vignette surrounding this Rose! LF
Carolyn Derstine replied:
These plants aren't real well known but can be found in nurseries more frequently now than they used to be. I find them appealing, especially because they bloom really early in the spring. Thanks for commenting and L/F this image, Kym!
