Description
High above the clouds returning from a mission, the "Stinker Pat" P51 Mustang's pilot, George G. Hamilton turns on his radio and signals in morse code "FO". Below him hidden under the cloud cover, control tower "Foggia" turns on the radio homing beacon to guide the Mustang Fighter in for a safe landing.
Sgt. Edward A. Brach was a member of the USAAF 318th Fighter Squadron and served as a radio technician for the Checkertail Clan's Number 10, P51 Mustang "Stinker Pat".
I dedicate this painting to the pilot of the "Stinker Pat", Major George G. Hamilton and to the memory of Mr. Edward A. Brach, his daughter my wife, family, and all those who served.

Hello, Daniel! This was my great uncle's plane. I was wondering if there is any chance you might consider selling the original painting to me? He has passed away recently, at 100 years old. My grandfather, his brother was the historian of the family before he passed. I am continuing his legacy. It would be a wonderful thing to have in our family. I have have a couple digital copies of photos of your father-in-law on the plane, including the one you painted. I understand if you won't consider selling the original. I will be ordering a couple prints for other family members regardless. Thank you! I've loved seeing this!

Daniel, very nice! I am planning to paint something very similar as my son in law just finished a special painting job on a mustang in Reno and am trying to get him to send me a photograph of it so I can paint it. Have a private pilot's license and was a navigator on active duty so will be painting some photos I took during Viet Nam fighting. You did a great job here Daniel!!!!
Daniel Kansky replied:
David, thanks for the comment. I look forward to seeing your painting of your son in-law's Mustang. You really should do paintings of your photos from the Vienam era, as that is such an important period of America's history that should not be forgotten. I wish you all the best in your endevours.
