HOLIDAY SALE! Use promo code YCSDBZ at checkout for 20% off! My work has evolved as a result of my graphic design training combined with my love of painting and drawing. As a child, I always enjoyed artwork and was in constant need of art supplies. I studied classical painting and drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago then transferred to Parsons School of Design in New York City. There I began a love affair with oil paints. I love the smell and the way they move around the canvas. I also work in pencil, pastels and acrylics. I changed my course to graphic design believing the digital skills I would acquire would help my career, while my fine arts knowledge would enhance my graphic work. I painted solely in oils but...

Hello, lady Debbie and congratulations on your recent sale. These profound words of wisdom reminded me of the profundity of a statement made by Mahatma Gandhi. He wrote, "You need to be the change you want to see in the world." So true. For years, in my conversations with people I've been saying something like, "If you want to see an honest world, be an honest person. If you want to see a loving world, be a loving person. If you want to see a generous world, be a generous person and so on. All the change in the world begins with you and me and all of us as individuals." May you continue to touch hearts with your lovely work and be a blessing to the world. May you continue to spread love and words of wisdom. That's what the world desperately needs. Our heads are stuffed with lots of information but not enough wisdom. In one of his poems T. S. Elliot wrote, " Where is the life we have lost in living ? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge ? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information ? " Great questions. I've added this to my list of favorites.
