Description
Lilac Grevillea Flower
Beautiful lilac Grevillea Flower. In fact, when you look close up, you can see various shades of pink and purple occur on the flower which give it a lilac tinge when you look from a distance. Grevillea’s are a popular native Australian flower. There are over 340 varieties and come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. This one is a shrub. The nectar attracts birds and insects. The leaves are long, thin and evergreen.
Taken in south-east Queensland, Australia.
This image won the first place in the FAA-contest Hakeas and Grevilleas in Australia, October 2022!
