Here is another version of a lily pond executed in Plein air in India. The waterlilies are almost like lotuses in the fact that they have long stems coming out of the water. It is amazing to come back day after day and watch the flowers slowly moving, slowly disappearing underwater and the leaves flat on the surface at first rising straight up vertically for no apparent reason. It is Monet who gave us the love for the lilies with his numerous interpretations of his pond in Giverny: those lilies eternal and silent are those views from the water with no limits.
