I agree completely, Patrick! I shot this photo at a restaurant, but when I make linguine with clam sauce at home, I always use minced clams and the juice from the can, along with the cheese (I use romano), garlic and parsley. You're right -- I need to remember the dried red pepper flakes next time! :)

Oh! I fogot to add that I also like it with the juice and minced clams in the can mixed in. Yes! It is good to add that can to it. Don't be put off by that. Try it! But sill keep the raw clams in the shells like you have it. Don't forget to add the parmasan cheese and maybe a touch of added crushed dried red pepper. Ah! I can taste it from here. Eat it up before it gets cold. Enjoy. Patrick.
