I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.
Artist's Description
This was a collaborative commission piece with Lisa walsh, an interior decorator who loves Newfoundlands, but is deathly allergic to dogs. The original is quite a big painting for me, but also interesting in that the dog is a composite of a number of different dogs and photo's of Newfoundland Dogs. It also is unusual in that the dog part was painted first in the studio and the brige and stream landscape was painted plein aire. The oak leaves were painted from real leaves that I collected once the weather had turned and it was too cold to paint outside.
