this pretty spot?
Don't you just want to get into
that great green canoe
and paddle out into
the middle of the lake?
The sky is blue
and the water so tranquil,
reflecting the early Spring color
of greens and yellows in the trees
surrounding this high mountain lake.
The lake is in
the Cherokee National Forest
and is part of the Chilhowee
Recreation Area
of Tennessee, very close to the borders
of North Carolina and Georgia in the tri-state area.
A beautiful forest trail
starts right alongside
this pretty lake
and leads through the woods
to the Benton Waterfalls.
The trail is easy
