Poppies are my favorite flowers. They remind me of the fields where I grew up. This poppy throw pillow is absolutely beautiful and just what I wanted for my bed.

Artist's Description

This is the shortened version of Locke Chinatown Alley 4. This shot brings the inner garden in the alley into closer view. I went back another day to get the closer view. The Chinatown of Locke, California was built by Chinese immigrants in 1912 and, for a while, was the largest Chinatown outside of China. When the nearby town of Walnut Grove burned to the ground due to an accidental fire, immigrants settled in Locke. Locke was known for its saloons, houses of ill-repute, gambling, opium and other activities of reputation. Today, it is a thriving area for artists and includes the famous Al the Wops restaurant. The artist, Mary Deal, is also an award-winning author of mystery/thrillers, a short story collection and writers' reference books. Read about it here: http://tinyurl.com/3z8pm3f
