Thanks James! I will investigate pipe insulation - haven't heard of that before. I will give it a go.

Lovely work! I love the softness in your work - what do you use to blend with to get that effect? I have much to learn.

James Geddes replied:

I usually only bend when laying in the base values. And less of that if I under paint before working with pastels. I use sections of pipe insulation when blending. Or my finger with or without a finger cot. Mostly I pastel stick blend and very little of that when the piece has crossed the half completed point. And no ending fixative. Thanks for commenting!
