A wonder filled tribute to Josh's memory, and such a beautiful way to explain your emotions, I can see hope and despair here but that bright glow of hope is struggling to the foreground. God give you peace.
Angela L Walker replied:
Thanks so much Sharon... I appreciate you!

So much emotion! I almost can't bear it. Your pain is beyond comprehension for those of us who have not faced losing a child, but your painting comes close to helping me understand. God gave you a means to reach out, and I believe many are helped by your art. I don't believe anyone can "get beyond" such a tragedy, but we can grow to live with it and wait for our time to once again be with those we've loved and lost. Bless you!
Angela L Walker replied:
Thanks so very much Carol. Today is Josh's birthday and I feel so helpless to contro my emotions... I do want you to know I appreciate your comments even though I can't seem to muster the mental energy to write how much... God bless you!

Angela, This is a very emotional piece and it just "grabbed" me. I then read the description and am so sorry to learn the loss of your dear son. We should never have to bury our children, and this painting exudes your emotion with the little rays of light flickering amongst the beautiful grays. Hold on to the dear memories you have of him as those are treasures you will always have.
Angela L Walker replied:
Thank you so much, Ingrid. Some days are much harder than others... I do appreciate your comments! I've received such tremendous support and encouragement here at FAA; those close to me have noticed a very positive difference. Thanks so much for stopping buy to visit our work (Josh and mine)... so glad for your visit.

Angela, If one does not read what has been written, it would not be apparent from your joyful smile (of course that is your headshot, which was on your site before your child passed on ) that you have lost your dearest, closest angel on this earth to another plane or another dimension we call Heaven. I have lost a close family member last week and it is still a shock to me but he was not my child. He was a dear, sweet, kind close family member though.... Also a long time ago I lost a very close family member and even to this day, I still have not, as they say: "gotten over it". We shall not aspire "to get over it, in my opinion, but somehow, some way, with the help of the Almighty, our "sisters and brothers", our own strength, we can keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep walking on, keep talking, keep in communication with others and keep expressing ourselves through painting, drawing, writing prose or poetry, singing, dancing (yes, even dancing) to keep us going on in this short span we call LIFE here on earth. Sending love and prayers...
Angela L Walker replied:
Oh Anne, thank you so much for such a candid comment... I really appreciate you and the connection we have. I am also soory for your loss... you probably relate to this piece in a similar was as I do. God bless you, my friend... my prayers are with you!
Angela L Walker
Irony would have it that you have commented on this piece today... Josh's former high school called today to inform me that they are doing a tribute to him and mounting a plaque in his honor during morning prayer on May 6... while I'm happy they're making such a warm gesture, it pains me terribly to be without him in this life. Thank you so much for commenting on this pieces and choosing today to do so... I appreciate you.

Yes, loss pales the colors in life. Yet, there are so many subtle colors in this well worth looking at. The "dominant colors" just to the right shows only one color, because the computer cannot pick up such subtle and shimmering colors, pale though they may be. Only human beings, artists, creators, can see and appreciate and commiserate. Wonderful work, Angela. A recommend and fave. I am so sorry for your loss....
