Awesome! I love it. The wood came with a small split, but it blends into the character of the wood. Really neat.

Got this for my fiancé for his birthday.. he is a huge larry bird fan.. I mean.. beyond. he has excel spreadsheets proving why Larry is the best of all time... He absolutely loved this gift. Totally wasn't expecting it. I know it made him tear up a little, he was in such disbelief. Arguably one of the best sports illustrated covers of all time. The quality is incredible. I can't wait to order more from this site for future christmas gifts.

Got as a gift for my neighbor who is a huge Lion's fan, his first year with season tickets. Good year to make that purchase. He loves it in his new office.

This was great. I then ordered a canvas of Thomas Merton and got some cheap poorly stapled piece. Sent it back Saturday. Hope I get a refund. Yesterday I ordered Our Sister Thea Bowman on canvas. Hope it comes as ordered and like St. Lazarus of Bethany.
Artist's Description
"The first fight between Louis and Schmeling took place on June 19, 1936, at the famous Yankee Stadium in New York, New York. The referee was the legendary Arthur Donovan, and the stadium's seats were sold out. The bout was scheduled for fifteen rounds.
Schmeling's study of Louis' style led him to openly say, in days before the fight, that he had found the key to victory; fans thought that he was just trying to raise interest in the fight. Nevertheless, boxing fans still wanted to see the rising star against the famed former world champion.
Schmeling spent the first three rounds using his jab, while sneaking his right cross behind his jab. Louis was stunned by his rival's style. In the fourth round, a snapping right landed on Louis' chin, and Louis was sent to the canvas for the first time in his twenty eight professional fights. As the fight progressed, stunned fans and critics alike watched Schmeling continue to use this style effectively, and Louis apparently had n...
About David Lee Guss
I first became obsessed with photography and motion pictures while growing up in post WW2 Manila in the Philippine Islands in the late 1940's/early 1950's. Film noirs were a particular influence. But my first love remains the theater. I acted in numerous amateur productions from 1958 to 1978. In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
