Congratulations, your artwork is being featured in the FAA group “Modern Art”.

Easy favorite for me, love the color the texture and the way you have stylized the buildings! Fantastic work! lf

Margaret, I have been there twice, Denver is one of the most beaufitul city of the US. Your interpretation is very creative.. wonderfully done!!

How cool is this? I am not at all surprised the original sold, Margaret, wonderful work!

Gorgeous chromatic scheme in this so wonderful cityscape, Margaret. And what a brilliant idea you had to paint a heart as sun.... Fantastic !!!!! f,v

Good work! Those hot Denver days are hard on an outdoor painter, but you hung in........

Margaret Bobb replied:

Thank you, Beverley! It sounds like you know about painting plein air around Denver. I am excited about possibly doing some more painting there at the end of the summer this year, too. If you are in the area, you should participate in the Denver Plein Air Fest. It would be great to meet you!

Thank you for the feature, First Star Art...and thank you to Sharon and Emona, as well. I recently started reading the Activity on FAA. I guess I should have been doing that all along--silly me!

Wonderful urban painting, Margaret...the color combination is so beautiful :) f&v

. love this . beautiful work Margaret :)

Love the color combination, Margaret! Well done! Happy New Year!!!

Mike Lawrence is an incredible artist with a range of diverse styles. I'm a fan! This bag is exactly what I was hoping it would be: Well made, durable, and nice -n- big so I can carry LITERALLY everything I need in it! I can fit a laptop, chargers, wallet, phone, keys, and a sweatshirt, and any other small items I want. Great quality, beautiful art design! Highly recommend.

Surprisingly quick response and delivery time . The customizing process was easy to figure out , and the bag was exactly as i had ordered it . It's perfect to carry around my sketch pad and pencils or framed art work . The fabric is heavy weight , and the handle is sturdy and well attached . Good overall construction and the image quality is bright and clear .

Received this lovely tote. The image printed beautifully on the fabric. I ordered the small 13x13 size and find it attractive and handy for carrying odds and ends. I'm looking forward to showing it off.

Ordered this in the generous large size. It is beautiful, very dynamic. Am very happy with the quality of the image and the bag itself.

Artist's Description

This piece was done in the Plein Air Arts Festival 2010 in Denver, CO. I was in a parking lot close to 13th Street looking north on a VERY hot day. I was slightly captivated by this section in Denver where you can clearly see very old buildings, such as the plant with the smokestack in the middle of composition, juxtaposed with modern architecture such as the one that many locals fondly refer to as the Cash Register Building. Some locals refer to it at the Mailbox Building. It is actually the Wells Fargo Building, and it was designed by architect Philip Johnson. Work on the building was completed in 1983. It took me 3 separate trips to complete this piece, and for a brief period of time on one of those days there was a wispy heart-shaped cloud which I could not resist incorporating into the painting. This work turned out to be a real study for me in line, shape, color, highlights and shadows. The abstract colors at the bottom of the canvas represent the hustle and bustle of the city s...

About Margaret Bobb

Margaret Bobb, an impressionistic colorist born and reared in the vibrant arts community of New Orleans, LA, has lived in Boulder County, Colorado, USA for well over 20 years. She says, "Drawing was my first love...then I met paint. My goal in art is to evoke emotions of joy, peace, harmony, and perhaps even a sense of wonder to people as they view my work. Realism used to be very important to me. But, as I've matured, I have found that my focus has changed from recording life to enjoying the sheer act of pushing, pulling or dropping colors onto a surface. I believe that creativity is a reflection of our spirit. There is so much ugliness in the world, I want to bring beauty to people. Much of my art is about color relationships and how...
