When the tide falls and the waves recede we are able to sit at the ocean edge and for a moment or two we can forget our cares and worries and perhaps remember our childhood innocence of adventure, wonder and thanksgiving.

About Tom Harris
I studied at the Art Institute of Boston, and the Corcoran School of Art in Washington DC. The first time I experienced the spontaneity, freshness, transparency, and freedom of watercolors, I was hooked for life. My love for watercolors began with a class and workshop at the Corcoran however, I consider myself self-taught because with each new painting I learn something new and exciting about this wonderful medium. My Love of the outdoors inspires my paintings of seascapes, landscapes, and historic buildings throughout Old Town Alexandria, Mount Vernon, and Washington DC.
