Lower Multanomah Falls, surrounded by lush green, mossy vegetation in the Columbia Gorge, Oregon. Columbia River Gorge is a National Scenic Area where the Columbia river gently meanders through cliffs, spires and ridges and features many spectacular waterfalls. Multanomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon at 620 feet. The lower falls is about 69 feet. Typically pictured in two-tiered cascade, the isolated lower falls with the footbridge visible in the top of the image, has its own unique charm.
I am Portland, Oregon based photographer. I am fascinated by many genres, but I particularly love travel and abstract photography. I immensely enjoy the process of taking images. It gives me an opportunity to slow down, immerse myself into the scene. I love that feeling of complete absorption, when you get into a flow, a zenlike, meditative state. I hope that my images convey this same sense of immersion and allow the viewer to feel similar emotions.
