Description
Lunar X is a famous "optical feature" on the Moon, which appears when sunlight falls on the rims/ridges between the craters La Caille, Blanchinus, and Purbach. The "X" is only observable for about 4 hours just prior to the Lunar First Quarter phase. Image captured with a DMK fire-wire Camera & 10" SCT scope.
