You are leaving out two of the most important things in this painting. You need the note in his left hand and the nickel in his right hand that the assassin left as a sign of disrespect.

Hey Jonathan, thanks for looking! i used the actual coroners photo as reference for this painting. I used Mario Gomes research from the Al Capone museum before i painted this! The buffalo nickels were just rumors and never proved that Jack Mcgurn actually pressed them into his victims hands. There was a card left behind with a poem. The card was left at the reception counter of the bowling alley at 805 N. Milwaukee ave. Chicago, IL. Check out Marios Gomes website. There is a lot of interesting facts about, not just Jack Mcgurn but several other gangsters Thanks again for looking!
