Very unique piece of art. Displayed in my living room and admired. Will highly recommend.

Daughter-in-law has the shower curtain, which she loves, and thought I'd get the hand towel to go with it. Didn't give it to her. The photo shows the entire towel, not what it looks like folded. When folded you only see some of the "splatters" on the bottom. If you turn it around the zebra's head is upside down. The way it's currently being produced, it isn't a suitable image for a hand towel.

I love the design but wanted to buy a towel that actually gets used - high polyester content makes that dubious. also: I was hoping to support American Artists as well as manufacturers - this sentiment got killed by giant "MADE IN CHINA" tag. Very sad.

The towel didn’t arrived. I tried to call customer service, nobody answered. Wrote message, also no answer. Never again. Also, this is my second purchase, the first one in November also never arrived. Never never again. Like I threw $100

Artist's Description

This whole area of Makua is a sacred place to all Hawaiians. Makua means "parent" in Hawaiian. The valley of Makua is said to be the place where "man" came from. It is also thought to be the place where the spirits of Hawaiians go to join with their ancestors. At the base of this is a volcanic lava tube called "Makua Cave." It was said to be the home of a sacred Mo'o (lizard) goddess Ko'iahi and where she met up with Kaneana "sharkman". Photograph is the copyright property of Craig Wood and cannot be copied or used without permission. FAA watermark will not appear on prints purchased.

About Craig Wood

My first camera was a Kodak Brownie that I purchased with a $5.00 bill that I found at the age of 12. My first black and white photos were of the Steinhardt Museum in San Francisco and later the Kon Tiki, Thor Heyerdahl’s sailing raft. Needless to say I was hooked. Since then I've traveled throughout Asia in and out of the military, using 35 mm cameras by Canon, Minolta and Nikon. I've some 4 X 5 macro photography for a friend's magazine and shot lots of weddings, B Day parties, friend’s kids / animals and many other joyous occasions. I'm now retired after working for the government for 42 years and 60 years after buying that $5.00 dollar camera. It's been an exciting love affair with several cameras that yielded many images and memories....
