This amazing structure located in the south of the Swedish city of Hyllie, near Malmo, was the brainchild of architects from the Windgardh group. This incredible shopping center was to designed to "hide inward looking retail behind a wreath of residential and commercial buildings", said the design team. The curved glass allows daylight to flow into it's entrance that in turn directs shoppers a three story figure eight? shaped shopping experience. On top the structure the architects even included a park consisting of pavilions, terraces and lawns. Another much needed green space?in this urban setting. Upon completion of the blocks long process only the curved entrance will remain in full view.
It is at this entrance Mark creates a riotous color treatment of the edifice. He seems to borrow the exact blue from the sky to embolden this tribute to Urbanism.
