Average Rating (5 Stars):

The bag is lovely, great printing and sturdily made. BUT I gave it 4 stars because it would be so much better if the bag had pockets, or sections, so it could be more of a travel or beach bag, not just a big undivided tote. The quality is excellent, lets get more items that are "printable".

Gorgeous art on a practical bag. Thank you, my talented friend, for helping me add a bit of magic to the everyday! Just the grownup upgrade I needed from hauling my stuff around in my boring grocery tote bags.

Artist's Description

Across a snowy field, a woolly mammoth trudges out of the mists of times. Against the cold winter backdrop, the great animal appears as a shambling mountain of dark fur making its way past a forest of fir trees. This the latest in my paleoart series of artworks and depicts one of the Pleistocene's most popular beasts. About how I create my artwork: Rather than traditional forms of art such as painting or photography, I use a computer to create my images. It's called 3D Rendering and works like so: I make a scene by sculpting and arranging digital models in a virtual 3D space. After stipulating lighting and atmospheric effects, I have the computer create a simulated environment from which I take a virtual snap shot of the scene. Then, using image editing software and something more akin to traditional painting techniques (via a Wacom tablet), I go over the work adjusting colors, adding brushwork, painting in details, etc. to produce the final image. Software I use includes: Sc...

About Daniel Eskridge

I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK HERE. Check...
