About Chris Riley
A Montreal artist - Originally from the United Kingdom, and retiring after 43 years in Canada, Chris Riley attended Concordia University, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts (2001). He has always been interested in the dynamics of colour, and the variety and subtlety of the colours provided by nature in its many moods. This has provided him with a path of exploration in abstract form. His art revolves around the seductiveness, and vibrancy of colour, the play of warmth and coolness, light and darkness, and the juxtaposition of coloured shapes and forms that provide a dynamic, yet rhythmic experience for the viewer.
