A woman with long dark hair in a flowery dress clings to a rock on what is perhaps the tiniest island in existence, little more than a rocky sandbar. The wind buffets her dress and hair as waves crash all around. Off in the distance a tiny sail can be seen receding into the distance.

This artwork was roughly inspired by a couple of famous paintings by Howard Pyle, both of which depicted marooned pirates. I got to see a large copy of one of them when I visited the Provost Dungeon in Charleston, SC a few months ago.

About how I create my artwork:

Rather than traditional forms of art such as painting or photography I use a computer to create my images. It's called 3D Rendering and works like so: I make a scene by sculpting and arranging digital models in a virtual 3D space.
