Paul, this is such an intense and thought-provoking painting of our beloved martin Luther King, Jr. He holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons, not the least of which is that my father knew him and marched with him. In how my dad spoke of MLK, I felt as though I knew him as well. This portrait, and the emotions you express with the colors, astounding composition, and facial expression have transported me back in time. I have the chills now! ~xo *L/F

King...his picture and my very own first sketched portrait ever at 15 or 16 yrs accompanied me above my desk through my studies, Paul...do I need to tell you how this amazing tribute touches me? Your diagonal composition with that perfect hand and focus on the face/ eyes,....the fading out into black...oh, a great, great portrait, my friend!
