About Christina Maassen
Hi and thanks for looking at my art work. I have been a florist for most of my working career and a watercolour and oil painter as well. While I experiment with abstract art on large canvas in mixed media when I am inspired to do so my obsession is to combine my love of flowers with my enjoyment of watercolour and water-mixable oils. Water-colour paint lends itself so beautifully to romantic, soft and feminine floral works and yet the oil paints give a depth and permanent quality to some subjects. It is exciting to see my art in print and on products that will make lovely gifts or lift someone's spirits when they use these objects in their home.
