Very nice bath towel. It is very large and thick. The picture is so pretty.

Very unique piece of art. Displayed in my living room and admired. Will highly recommend.

Daughter-in-law has the shower curtain, which she loves, and thought I'd get the hand towel to go with it. Didn't give it to her. The photo shows the entire towel, not what it looks like folded. When folded you only see some of the "splatters" on the bottom. If you turn it around the zebra's head is upside down. The way it's currently being produced, it isn't a suitable image for a hand towel.

I love the design but wanted to buy a towel that actually gets used - high polyester content makes that dubious. also: I was hoping to support American Artists as well as manufacturers - this sentiment got killed by giant "MADE IN CHINA" tag. Very sad.

Artist's Description

MATCHLESS MOTORCYCLE 2010, graphite on paper, 11.5 x 14.5 On a Sunday in June of 2008 in the walled city of Lucca, Italy, the local antique auto and motorcycle club roared into The Piazza Anfiteatro for refreshment and conversation after a day of riding the country roads of Tuscany. Us lucky motorcycle enthusiasts were at the right place at the right time. This self portrait and reflection of the one-time Roman Stadium was inspired by a reflected image in the fuel tank of a wonderfully restored 1943 350cc ‘Matchless’ motorcycle.

About Norman Bean

It always amazes me when I look back at the drawings I have created over the years: the time and energy, study and hand training, not to mention actually being present with my subject to find the best angle, perspective, lighting and detail. And sometimes, when I am not satisfied, experimenting with sketch after sketch before daring to put pencil to the expensive drawing paper. The reality for me, in applying my art, is observing my subject. Really looking and understanding. Once I get set on an idea for a subject, I get out the thick, expensive drawing paper. It's always a matter of figuring out where everything is going to go, lightly sketching a line drawing that identifies the points, angles and perspectives,...
