I have already sent a pic of this artwork installed at my home to the artist. However! I must compliment you on your packaging!! It was excellent. There was no way the art could be damaged. You have my recommendation.

Hangs in my dining room. Sets the stage for pleasant conversation and a moment to pause and enjoy God's master piece captured by Tim Kathka artist eye.

The picture is stunning. The printing was done superbly. The problem was, the picture was damaged in shipment. Received second picture, no hassle, again was damaged in shipment. Fine Arts has been very responsive, I am waiting for the 3rd try. Hopefully, they will figure out how to package and work with Fedex to assure I get a usable picture. I have ordered 8 other pictures and was very pleased with them. Hoping to get this issue resolved - I have one more print I would like. Photography = 5 Printing quality = 5 Shipping = 0

I purchased this framed cartoon for my hairstylist son’s salon. It is so clever and his clients have thoroughly enjoyed it. Kudos to the artist, and thank you to the New Yorker for the beautiful framing.

Artist's Description

Max Wilms (1867-1918), German pathologist and surgeon. Wilms obtained his medical degree from the University of Bonn (1890) and then specialised in pathology and surgery. He was later a professor of surgery at Basel (1907) and Heidelberg (1910). His research included studies of renal disease (nephrology), and kidney tumours. He wrote on his findings in 'Die Mischgeschwülste der Niere' (1910), and co-authored a surgery textbook 'Lehrbuch der Chirurgie' (1908). Wilms also helped develop radiation therapy for the treatment of cancers. Wilms died during the First World War after becoming infected with diphtheria while operating on a prisoner-of-war.

About National Library Of Medicine

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
