Thank you so much for your nice comment, Ray ! I appreciate it ! All the Best and Happy New Year, Juergen

Juergen, Great shoot. I was to Tikal and stared at the pyramids. It seems to me the tops of these are the gods enthoned. two summers ago I was in Monument Valley, Utah and it struck me that the butts there looked like these Mayan temples. I wonder if the ancestors of the Mayans on their migration from Siberia, settled in the US Southwest and, if so, are their Yucatan temples memories of a distance past? Beautiful photographs, its obvious you love what you're doing. Regards, Ray

My wonderful Flamenco Regalia art pillow is just the touch of color and comfort that I wanted. The polyester case is smooth (not shiny) and the pillow is firm. Very satisfied!

The pillow is beautiful. The colors are sharp and it was more than I expected. The fill is great, too.

Poppies are my favorite flowers. They remind me of the fields where I grew up. This poppy throw pillow is absolutely beautiful and just what I wanted for my bed.

Artist's Description

The Mayan Ruins in Tikal (Guatemala) are probably the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. Tikal is the ruin of an ancient city, which was likely to have been called Yax Mutal, found in a rainforest in Guatemala. Ambrosio Tut, a gum-sapper, reported the ruins to La Gaceta, a Guatemalan newspaper, which named the site Tikal. After the Berlin Academy of Sciences' magazine republished the report in 1853, archeologists and treasure hunters began visiting the forest. Today, tourism to the site may help protect the rainforest. It is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. It is located in the archaeological region of the Petn Basin in what is now northern Guatemala. Situated in the department of El Petn, the site is part of Guatemala's Tikal National Park and in 1979 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tikal was the capital of a conquest state that became one of the most...
