Mayflies on a Eucalyptus Viminalis, (78metres high), are shown here together as they are both Endangered Species in Tasmania. Today the old Eucalyptus Species are very rare. Normally 22 armfuls around the tree, we are left with only stumps and stories in my area of the big trees that have been cut down in the past. Mayflies on the other hand are the smallest of the food chain which are also Endangered. They live in the rivers and fly out after they have mutated from pond creatures to flying insects. Some of these mayflies are from Gondwanaland, found only in fossils, but now after 65 million years they may be extinct within the next 20 years due to climate change.
Commissions me for paintings of your favourite place or portraits in your favourite place can be arranged as a professional photograph, painting, sculpture or glass art work for your home.

The plantations that are now growing here were planted specifically for pulp to send to the Japanese for the production of their...
