I always come back to enjoy this. It took me a while before I worked out that those were not kelp floating but peeling paint. Stunning, Marcia F/L

Just revisiting. Took me a bit the first time to work out this was peeling paint. Beautifully done, Marcia

Wow, this is amazing...I thought it was a reflection at first but realized it is wood...So unique, well done!

So creative! Love how you have made wood seem like water!...fav/v

OH MY GOSH.. It is the side of a building with the paint peeling. How creative and wonderful.. It looked like the mermaid in water. Just incredible. Funny how the mind tries to relate it to past experiences and posibilties.. Love it

How creative and graceful. Love tis work Marcia. I am not sure of what is floating on the surface but the imagination helps the viewer work it out whild the appreciate the contrasts between the water and what is floating on it,, Simply wonderful!!!

Artist's Description

A mermaid is a legendary aquatic creature with the upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. In other folk traditions (or sometimes within the same tradition), they can be benevolent or beneficent, bestowing boons or falling in love with humans. Mermaids are associated with the mythological Greek sirens as well as with sirenia, a biological order comprising dugongs and manatees. Some of the historical sightings by sailors may have been misunderstood encounters with these aquatic mammals. Christopher Columbus reported seeing mermaids while exploring the Caribbean, and sightings have been reported in...

Memories are one of the biggest ways to experience emotions of all types. Photography was that answer to capture moments that were ignored by others that would elicit an emotion.
