The Army of Tennessee, Louisiana Division monument is a tomb of Confederate soldiers of the American Civil War. Atop the tomb is an 1877 equestrian statue of General Albert Sidney Johnston on his horse Fire-eater. The fenced statue is a Confederate officer about to read the roll of the dead during the American Civil War.

This is great, steve!! It is a tumulus and it is one of a handful in New Orleans. It is called a tumulus because the grave is part of a mound of dirt that makes a little hill. Sharon, Marie Laveau's grave is in St. Louis One on Basin Street. I like that one, too! I like them all! :)))) kk
