Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I bought this in the greeting card form. I have been purchasing cards from Fine Art America for two or three years. Covid might have been some of the reason for looking for cards on the internet. Shops were closed. The main reason I buy cards from FAA is because I got tired of looking for cards at the usual card shops. I could find cards (sometimes) that looked good on the outside but the verses were terrible or it was the other way around...terrible on the outside but maybe a decent verse inside. I pick cards from FAA that fit with the occasion. I figure I can write something on the inside as good as any card company could. I wouldn't buy these cards if I didn't think they were wonderful. The cards are beautiful and excellent quality and the envelopes are equality as good. I am glad I can make a copy of what I've bought so I can keep track of who gets what card. I don't want to send the same card to someone twice. In this case, the card is going to someone for Mother's Day.

Calla Lily; This was a very personal painting I did at university, when recovering from breast cancer (twice)...The background colours represent blood & cancer cells, The Calla lilies are a Metaphor for my recovery !!! The lilies get larger - as I keep recovering. Like most flowers, the calla lily has a symbolic meaning. It is, ironically, associated with both Weddings and Funerals. The calla lily is symbolic of marriage and purity because of its white colour and its trumpet-like shape, similar to a woman's shape. It is also the symbol of rebirth and resurrection; therefore, it is widely used in funeral arrangements and planted in cemeteries.
The calla lily's common colour is white, but it is available in any colour such as yellow, red, burgundy, pink, orange and even a purple/black combination. When calla lilies are used in weddings, the usual choice is white because of its elegant look and symbolism of purity.
Hi my name is Jean; I am a self-taught artist who works from my studio at home, in oil paint on canvas, My main subjects being Landscapes and Seascapes. I have recently undertaken portraiture, of which I am thoroughly enjoying and a new and challenging area for myself. I also have an extremely keen interest in Photography and I often paint from my collection of pictures, they prove an invaluable source of reference on wet and windy days when it is impossible or impractical to paint al-fresco. In 2002 i decided to expand my vocabulary in art by enrolling into Lichfield & Tamworth College for a 2-year Art course to obtain my A-Level. In 2004 I was accepted into Wolverhampton University, graduating in 2007 with a B.A (hons) in Fine Art...

Hi Jean...I must admit I didn't read the context of your personal sensitivity regarding this painting. I hope I didn't come across as insensitive with my take on this painting as I am also a cancer survivor with two missing vertabrae now and a rebuilt spinal column. I know how meaningful a personal work of art can be...I am so sorry that I missed reading your background on this work of art and hope that my comment didn't redirect or influence your admirerers views away from your intended message......
