Description
Milecastle 37 is one of the milecastles on Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland and is one of several which were placed every Roman mile along the wall. It is immediately west of the Housesteads Roman Fort. This smaller fort was built to guard a gateway through the wall. Looking north through the gateway and over Ridley Common, you can see Broomlee Laugh.
