Milky Way. Bands of dust and glowing nebulae are seen along the band of billions of stars that is our Milky Way galaxy seen from the inside. This area of the galaxy contains the constellation Cygnus (the Swan). The North America Nebula is at lower right, next to bright star Deneb, at the tail of the Swan. The supernova remnant known as Cygnus Loop (including the Veil Nebula) is at the lower right.
