Milky Way Arch Over Enchanted Rock State Natural Area - Fredericksburg Texas Hill Country
Photograph - Photograph
It occurred to me that the best way to shoot a milky way photograph is with the waxing moon at 20-30%, that way the sky is still relatively dark but the moonlight softly bathes the landscape. Despite the Sahara dust enveloping the whole State of Texas, I made the drive west to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. I killed two birds with one stone as I had to go by our rental property in Canyon Lake to drop some linens, and from there it's a straight shot to Fredericksburg through picturesque back roads. I found this view roughly a mile from the trailhead on the Loop trail. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
