I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Love dragons this card was even better in person when it arrived.
Clouds pass quickly overhead revealing the Milky Way skies above. In this image taken from the Mount Evans Observatory (elevation 14,148 feet), city lights from Denver show the reach of their illumination from 50 or so miles away as the observatory and clouds overhead glow brightly without any assistance from light painting.
I often bring some lights to give some options in light painting a foreground for a nightsape. In this case however, the unique position gave a distinct advantage in that the observatory had direct line of sight to the city lights of denver. To the naked eye that didn't create much visible glow. But in a long-exposure photograph, I knew that was a lot of light to work with.
In the end, I really liked how the layer of clouds added even more interest as it played a little hide & seek with the stars above (even if it did add a little noise too).

Join Mike on a photographic adventure - whether through one of his images or on one of his night photography workshops. That's right, you can share the passion and see the techniques that result in magnificent nightscape images. Either way, you're sure to pick up some inspiration along the way! For those...
