As a longtime admirer of the Northern European version of the Renaissance, Heironymus of Bosch has been one of my heroes. Somewhat popular in his own time, his work was more or less quickly forgotten soon after his death...and were it not for the fact that the Spanish Occupation of the Netherlands allowed some of the best of Bosch's work to be preserved from the ruthless destruction of radical Protestant iconoclasm,we might have lost some of the greatest work of the period and all time.

Surely Goya must have seen The Garden of Earthly Delights at the Prado vaults. It was not until the arrival of Surrealism in the 20th century however, that Bosch was resurrected finally after half a millennium of dismissal.

Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross, Irish/American (1942 - ) Tighe O’Donoghue/Ross was born in New York City in 1942. He received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. at the City University of New York, graduating magna cum laude. He is a world renowned printmaker and sculptor whose work is in the permanent collections of such prestigious institutions as The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, The Brooklyn Museum in New York, the Smithsonian National Collection of Fine Art in Washington, D.C. and the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris.
