When will I get my order???
I had not been to my childhood home located in New Scotland, New York, in the winter in 38 years. My Mother passed on January 1st 2018. Although, she was 92 years young and legally blind she still tended to her garden in the summer months. She also mowed her own lawn. She said she could still see the large shapes! I wandered around the property taking pictures. This painting was using those photos as reference.

As a young girl Barbara would visit a secluded site in the woods neighboring her upstate New York home to observe and sketch birds in their natural habitat. She attended the State University of New York at New Paltz and the University of New York at Albany. At New Paltz, Barbara studied under George Wexler and Sheldon Schoenberg whom she credits with teaching her the fundamentals of drawing (Prof Schoenberg told his students if they couldnt learn to see they would never be artists.) She credits this with providing her the foundation for her paintings. While...
