Monet's Lily Pond at Giverny
Artist
Stephen Farley
Medium
Photograph - Archival Giclee Print On Gallery-wrapped Canvas
Description
Edouard Monet was one of the most beloved French Impressionists, and the subject of hundreds of his paintings was his lily pond at his Giverny gardens in the suburbs of Paris. This huge mural-size photographic collage captures his pond in 2011, full of impressionist color in archival Giclee inks on stretched canvas. You may not be able to own a Monet, but you can own his most famous subject. It is also a portrait of my 16-year-old artist daughter Amelia, who appears in several places in the photograph.
