As I did for the Moon, I collected images of the Sun to show how our atmosphere gives different colors and shapes.
In none of the images was used a filter, including the image of the eclipse filtered by the haze.
The suns chosen all have particularities donated by scattering and refraction: Mock Mirage, Omega Mirage, Deformation, jaggedness from atmospheric turbulence, multicolored solar disc and Green Flash.The spiral shape allowed me to unify the two works (sun spiral and moon spiral) by composing a new symbolic image.

Marcella Giulia Pace was born in Ragusa on the island of Sicily.  She teaches at primary school in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Veneto - Italy). In 2011, the italian Ministry of Public Administration presented her with an award for innovation in teaching. Her pictures are regularly published by Italian and international astronomy magazine ad website, including "Sky and Telescope", "Nuovo Orione", "Coelum Astronomia" and "Astronomy Now". In 2015, her pictures "Moon and Antelao" was selected by the Royal Museums of Greenwich for the "Astronomy photographer of the Year 2015" competition.
