I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description

"Justice, Equity and peace administered alike to all people". So reads the wording atop the Moore County Courthouse in the Texas Panhandle town of Dumas. One of the side entrances has these words written: "To no one will we sell deny or delay justice". Over lunch on a hot summer day, I pondered what prompted the builders to include these words on the building. I also wondered about the funding of this building's construction, built during the great depression. While many of the county courthouses in the 'older' counties of the state are quite ornate, many of those in the Panhandle that I visited were constructed in the early 20th century and thus were more in the Moderne style, a type of art deco. Land for this courthouse square was donated by Louis Dumas, who laid out the townsite in 1891. One year later, Moore County was formally organized as a government and in 1893 the county's first courthouse was build. The original courthouse was replaced by the current structure...at a cost of...

About Joan Carroll

Joan Carroll

Protected with PIXSY About Joan Carroll: I am a Fort Worth Texas-based outdoor photographer who feels at home while on the road...in Texas, in the US, around the world. Although travel and photography were dual interests from a young age, the coming of the digital camera provided undreamed of opportunities and unleashed previously untapped creativity. My photographic goal is to travel the world in a curious yet respectful way, taking the time to see and understand the unique story of each place I visit. Wherever I go I want to walk every street, hike every trail, ride the bus or metro, climb every tower, walk around and through every monument, and then do it all over again when the light changes. In every place, light, mood, color, and...
