:DD I think a lot of art is really like an adventure, or like travelling to some place you've never been before. You hope you're gonna like what happens but you haven't worked it out. You just start DOING it, feeling your way along, concentrating hard, getting deep in it, slowly, and the thing starts taking shape before your eyes. When you look at the thing afterwards it may come as a surprise to you! The act of creation was a mysterious process even as it was happening! A lot of art is an adventure like that. That's what I really like about it. If it didn't work, well then, scrap it and start again. You can't do that with a physical adventure. If you fell off that motorbike into a ditch and broke your leg, or if that smooth-talking hotel tout ripped you off, your leg doesn't get back to where it was before just like that, and you don't get your money back. But art? Wipe the damn thing clean and start again. ¡No pasa nada! Or have a happy surprise - it turned out better than you thought it would! What could give more pleasure?

So true, Arjun. You remind me of what one of my first teachers taught me. It is not a moral process in the sense that you don't do any damage if it doesn't work out. You just as you siad, "Scrap it!" :D The worst that can happen is you waste a piece of paper - and now we can even recycle that! It's a gift and a holiday to have that freedom in this area of our lives. Thank you for reminding me and saying it so well!

Wow! Picasso.. eat your heart out!

:))))) Oh, Arjun, go on; now I won't be able to get my swelling head through the door. :DDD I was experimenting here. I had a lot of fun, but I had absolutely no idea what to think of it!! Now I kind of like it.
