The reflections on the puddles from the morning rain on the wet streets enhanced the golden colour of the lights in the shops. Several days spent in Old Salzburg will definitely be worth it.
Salzburg means 'salt castle' and the wealth of old Salzburg came from the river tolls on the Salzach River as the salt barges from the mountains passed by the city. Salzburg is renowned for its Baroque architecture and was the birthplace of Mozart.
