I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

This was shot in the Staircase National Park, Olympic Peninsula, Washington state. Late in the day, most of the scenery was nestled in shadow. But when a stray beam of sunlight managed to find it's way through the towering pines, cedars, and oaks, I couldn't resist the color combinations.

Born and raised near Kansas City, Missouri, I moved my midwest mentality to the Pacific Northwest in 1995. Settling near Olympia, Washington, I found a comfort zone I had always lacked in the middle of the country, where summers were "too hot", and winters were "too cold". I also was struck by the sheer beauty of a region that stays lush and green, year round. I soon found myself photographing the Cascade mountains, the Olympic rainforest, the Pacific coastline, and all of the stunning beauty to be found in between.
